Hello – I’m Willow Dicker and I’m a qualified and BACP registered, Integrative Child and Young Adults Counsellor, based in Buckfast, Devon. I have a passion for helping children, young adults and their parents make sense of things, develop more personal resilience and lead happier lives.

I have worked therapeutically with children and young adults for more than 8 years, having achieved a BA(Hons) in Social work at the University of Plymouth. I worked with Plymouth’s Children’s Social Care Services in the capacity of a front-line Social worker. Later, I gained an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. To further resource the enthusiasm I have for working with children and young adults I went on to additional training, and achieved a Diploma in Working Therapeutically with Children and Young People.

I have worked extensively in a local school setting as a Counsellor. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold an Enhanced DBS Check.

I have worked with children having a range of mental health difficulties, across the age range 5 to 30 years. I work with children and young adults who are experiencing anxiety acute enough to disrupt everyday life and relationships; those with eating disorders; and self-harm or suicidality, along with many other difficulties and situations. I am experienced in working with parents and see this as an essential part of helping children and younger adolescents.
